tanks for your reply littlefoot

but the fact about the web.show_document() is, the application should be in the web.

Restrictions:

Can only be used from within a form run from the Web.

so, is it not possible to use this feature in forms 6i. if possible i want a piece of code.

Forms 6i can also be deployed on web: Oracle Forms Server Release 6i: Deploying Forms Applications to the Web with iAS. If you don't feel like doing that, I wouldn't know how to create hyperlinks in a form created with Forms 6i, sorry.

by this i did not understand anything.

i have one more doubt .

i want navigate between the forms (not in web) without using built-in's like call_form,new_form.
by using hyper link. i want to provide a hyper link by clicking that, the user has to navigate to the desired link.
just like in html. is it possible.

You need to understand that different technologies work differently. Forms <> HTML, so - although certain functionalities can be done, possibly in a different manner, some of them simply can not and you should
a) live with it
b) switch to different technology
